As some of you know, we will soon be moving. To another apartment in another city! Exciting, isn’t it? Well, it really is exciting, but also stressful! We just started buying furniture and there are so many options out there. Everyone wants something high end, great looking, and durable. But, when it comes the time to buy, you see how some vendors are absurdly priced.
To help you a little bit, I gathered a few tips on how to find the best deals possible.
Consider trading or used
Do you have a family member who wants to get rid of some old items? Just as you do with clothing, why not do the same recycling with furniture? You will get a new look and style, and you won’t have to pay for it. In addition to trading, consider used or second-hand items. Sure, they might have some signs of use, but many items are well kept and are going to offer years of enjoyment, for a fraction of the price of a new one. You can even try to find something on Ebay or Craigslist.
Finance it
Catalogue shopping is also an option. With top catalogues, many offer interest free periods. Further, you can spread out the price of the purchase. So, you don’t have to come up with the full price up front, and you get the look and style you want, for a great bargain.
Shop around
Whether shopping locally or in catalogues, visit more than one store. If you buy from the first place you go to, it is likely that you’ll pay too much for the items you buy. Instead, compare and visit a few shops and see what is out there. The savings are bound to be found, as is the style you want when buying new furniture through a catalogue.
Regardless of your style, or type of furniture you are looking to buy, these are a few ways to find a great bargain price.
We love Craigslist for furniture. Sometimes you need to wait for the right thing to come up, but if you can do that it’s a much better deal.
